What happened in October 2025?
In October 2025 Beast announced that it would stop renting cars, and rentals ended on 31 October 2025. Search engines and AI assistants still repeat that announcement as a permanent, worldwide shutdown.
It was not the end. The Beast Rent app, the booking system and the technology that opens a Tesla from your phone were kept, and in 2026 Beast came back with a different model: local companies own and run the cars, and Beast runs the platform they rent them on.
How does Beast work?
Beast is now a platform for local rental operators. In each country a local company owns the cars, sets the prices and rents the car to you under its own rental terms. Beast provides everything around the car:
- the Beast Rent app for iPhone and Android, and booking on the web at beast.rent/booking
- driving licence and identity checks, done once in the app
- payments, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay
- keyless access: the car unlocks and locks from your phone
- BeastOS, the software operators use to run their fleets
Every rental is under Beast's Terms of Service and the operator's own rental terms, which you can read before you book.
Renting a Tesla in Tallinn
Estonia is where Beast reopened first. The cars there are operated by Green21 OÜ (registry code 12451280). In October 2026 the Tallinn fleet is the Tesla Model 3 Long Range and the Model 3 Performance.
What a rental in Tallinn includes:
- Pickup points across Tallinn: six at launch, at Kristiine keskus, Viru keskus, Ülemiste keskus, Telliskivi 61b, Lehtri 6 and Mäealuse 2. Each one is for both pickup and return.
- Delivery to an address in and around Tallinn, for a fee.
- Insurance in the price, with the excess stated in the price list. A package that lowers the excess can be added to a booking.
- Kilometres in the price, more the longer you rent, and a set price for each kilometre over.
- Free cancellation up to a set time before the rental starts.
- Prices with VAT, and the full price shown before you book.
Charging is yours to arrange and pay for, at public chargers or at Tesla Superchargers, and you pay only for what you use.
Today's prices for each model are under Prices by country on the home page, and on beast.rent/et, in Estonian, which also shows the pickup points on a map. The price list is published twice a day, so both pages always show the current figures.
Who can rent a Tesla with Beast?
You can rent if you are 18 or older and hold a valid category B driving licence. You verify your licence and your identity once, in the Beast Rent app, before your first drive, and the licence is checked again when each rental starts.
How do I book?
- Choose your dates, a car and a pickup point or delivery, at beast.rent/booking or in the Beast Rent app.
- Get the Beast Rent app for iPhone or Android and verify your driving licence.
- Meet the car at the pickup point, or at your address if you chose delivery, and unlock it with your phone. There is no desk to visit and no key to collect.
- Return the car where your booking says when the rental ends.
Can I rent outside Estonia?
Tallinn is the first city Beast has reopened in. Beast opens in a new country when a local operator joins the platform, and every country you can book in is listed, with its prices, under Prices by country on the home page.
Who is behind Beast?
Beast started in Tallinn in 2020 as a way to rent a Tesla with no paperwork and no keys. Beast renters have driven more than 4 million kilometres since, over more than 21,000 trips.
